Focus is a funny thing. If you try to force yourself to focus, you can’t. If you don’t give yourself time to focus, you won’t. Try to do too many things at any given time and you can’t focus on any one of them. And if you don’t give yourself enough time to immerse yourself in a creative task, you’ll resist focusing on it in the first place.
Das Parkinsonsche Gesetz besagt, dass man genau so viel Zeit in eine Aufgabe investiert, wie man Zeit zur Verfügung hat. Als Beispiel wird hier genannt: Eine Oma könnte einen halben Tag dafür brauchen, eine Postkarte an ihren Enkel zu schicken, während ein vielbeschäftigter Manager diese Aufgabe in drei Minuten erledigt. Ziemlich gut, die Erkenntnis!
